OUTSIDE MLS: The 26-year-old joined the Dynamo after two years in Costa Rica finishing with 24 goals and 16 assists in 64 games for LD Alajuelense. ![]() ![]() Prior to committing to play for Costa Rican, the forward represented the United States at the U23 level in 2015 competing in the Toulon Tournament in France. His most recent international match for the Ticos was played against the United States on February 1, 2020. INTERNATIONAL: Lassiter has earned six caps with the senior Costa Rican national team making his debut in 2019 in a friendly against Guatemala. He returned to MLS and scored a brace on his Dynamo debut, appearing in 16 matches with 10 starts. He did just that, having a breakout year with Alajuelense. The son of MLS legend Roy Lassiter and a prolific scorer at the USL level, Ariel went to Costa Rica to further his career after the 2018 season.
